Use Information Channels to Explain
and Endorse the Partnership Program

Accomplished: The first meeting of this work group was held on April 2, 2003. The group reviewed the overview of the

Partnership program, the content of A Guide for a Better Ending and an excerpt from the report of the Last Acts Workplace Task Force. Since then, the Central Massachusetts Labor Council meetings and publications have been used to explain the program and encourage member unions to be prepared to explain and support employer programs as outlined above. The Labor Council membership includes about 50 unions in Worcester County with about 20,000 members.

Planned: Ensure that newly-elected union leaders are made aware of the Labor Council’s support for Better Ending.
